This term in English we will be reading the traditional tale 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and using this as a platform to describe a character, create a wanted poster and retell a story. The focus is on ensuring children are secure in using capital letters and full stops in a longer piece of writing as well explore a range of other punctuation. Children will be encouraged to use joining words (and, but, so, that, because etc) to extend their writing and use ambitious vocabulary appropriately.
The second story we will be using is 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea.' From this, we will explore letter writing, again focusing on punctuation and extended writing.
