In Summer term we will be creating our own stories using the story 'Jim and the Beanstalk.' We will explore a range of punctuation/ vocabulary through creating our own version of the story.
We will also learn about the causes and aftermath of the 'Great Fire of London.' From this, we will create fire safety posters, compare London in 1666 to now and write a diary entry as a survivor of the tragedy.
Like previous terms, the focus is still on ensuring children are using joining words (and, but, so, that, because etc) to extend their writing and using ambitious vocabulary appropriately. We will continue to work on handwriting ensuring capital letters and small case letters are of the correct size and orientation as well as introduce suffixes.
