Spooky Week - Halloween

Places to Visit and Explore:

Take an Autumn walk in the woods - look at the changing colour of the leaves, the different types of seeds (Conkers, acorns, Helicopter), identify and talk about the different wildlife, etc.

Green Grociers - Buy and explore Autumn vegetables (Pumpkins, squash, marrows, etc)

 

Activities to try at home:

  • Make pumpkin soup
  • Decorate the house, talk about festivals and traditions
  • Make a bird feeder, hedgehog hotel and / or bug shelter, talk about hibernation
  • Talk about the change of season, looking at the weather, temperature and clothes we wear 
  • Carve a pumpkin
  • Make a lantern
