THORPE LEA SPORTS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
We are delighted to announce that our PE curriculum will continue to be delivered by Sports4Kids. Each class will receive two hours of Physical Education delivered by qualified and dedicated sports coaches, including the much loved and respected Marie Willoughby. Sports4Kids have worked tireless over the last two years, seeking continual improvement in the standard of delivery and developing positive and professional relationships with all of our children. They continue to to deliver a variety of sports and activities to all pupils during the school year to a consistently high standard, incorporating a range of skills to improve performance and coordination which are then applied during a series of internal games and competitions.
In addition to delivering a fantastic PE curriculum to our children, Sports4Kids will also continue to run a number of engaging and fun extra curricular activities and clubs during and after school. If you would like to receive further information about the current extra curricular clubs available, please contact our school office.
Thorpe Lea School Sports
Thorpe Lea Primary School enjoyed a breakout year for sporting success in 2016/17. We competed in a record number of sporting fixtures over the past year in a range of sports including: football, dodgeball, rounders, netball, athletics and golf. Team Thorpe Lea achieved a record number of best placed finishes last year, including winning two trophies for the first time in our school's history - a truly remarkable achievement. We are so proud of each and every pupil who took part in representing the school and we hope you will continue to do so.

The leaders took part in a range of training sessions last year and have acquired the skills and confidence needed to deliver activities aimed at proving fun and healthy exercise to their peers. They really are a wonderful bunch - please say hello when you see them around the school!

Thorpe Lea Sports Day proved to be yet another fabulous day! Once again, the pupils demonstrated fantastic commitment and sportsmanship throughout the day and it contributed to a competitive but enjoyable day for all.
Both cups went to the wire, with less than 20 points separating all four houses in both Key Stages.
Key Stage 1 Winners - King John House
Key Stage 2 Winners - Langton House
A special mention goes to all parents, carers, guardians and siblings who came along to support the school throughout the day.
