First week in School

The children have been looking at the story 'Billy and the New School'. They have been learning their busy routine and class rules. Please see your Tapestry account for pictures of the children's learning.

My Family

(Week 4 - 26.09.22)

This week the children have been looking at the story 'Monkey Puzzle'. They have been learning all about families. The children brought in their own family pictures and made a family tree. They have also been learning about the late Queen Elizabeth II and her family. The adults shared pictures of the Queen's funeral and we discussed her majesty's amazing life. The children have also started Phase 1 phonics and Maths. See pictures  below for all the fantastic learning: 

Harvest Festival 

(Week 5 - 03.10.22)

This week the children have been learning all about the Harvest Festival. On Monday they were welcomed with a Scarecrow! Some children came in dressed for Harvest in autumn colored clothes and brought in food for donations. The children then learnt about the importance of the festival and explored vegetables and food that is harvested. They also made their own scarecrows and loved singing 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' song. The children also had their own class scarecrow, they named him 'Prince Stanley'. See below for all the Harvest fun:

Funny Bones

Week 6 - 10.10.22

This week the children have been looking at the story 'Funny Bones'. The children have made skeleton pictures using cotton buds and have enjoyed singing the song 'Dem Bones'.  The children loved making pizza faces during their Wednesday cooking session. They have also been learning about the five senses and how we use them.
