Thorpe Lea Primary School

'A dedicated community working together, nurturing a safe, happy school where all children can achieve their potential'

As part of our ongoing efforts to stand against bullying at Thorpe Lea, we recently ran a poster competition across the school.  This was a way for the children to get creative and use their artistic skills to spread the word and make sure that anyone who visits Thorpe Lea knows exactly what we think.  We work together to support each other, communicate and most importantly, be kind to others!  We are so proud of the children's efforts and attitude here and this is epitomised by their wondeful posters.  Below are just a few of the many entries we had.  Keep your eyes out for them dotted around our school.

Anti-Bullying Week 2020

2020 was a difficult year for us all.  There was a lot of disruption and our school routines completely changed.  Most of us spent long periods of time away from our usual friendship groups and our families.  Sometimes it can feel isolating when you don't get to meet up with your social group as much as normal which is why we all agreed that being kind and understanding towards others was so important at this time.

At Thorpe Lea we are better when we're 'united' and the children did activities throughout the week which explored the idea of unity and togetherness and how we can be there for our friends, discuss our worries and issues and stand up for others.  Not forgetting of course, the odd socks!
