LO: To investigate the -al suffix.
In this lesson we are going to look at the -al suffix. Remember, suffixes are added on to the end of a root word and can change the meaning and or class of the word. For example, walk is a verb but when you add the suffix -ing it changes the tense to become walking (present) but if you ad the suffix -ed it becomes walked (past).
