COVID 2019 Information

As you are aware, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is a constantly evolving landscape. Government guidance continues to change regularly and we are monitoring this and adapting things as necessary on a daily basis. The majority of our updates to parents can be found on our school home page and via the Studybugs app. Below is additional information and materials specifically related to Covid 19. As ever, if you are unable to find the information you require, please speak to the school office.

Covid-19 Symptoms

If your child is suffering from any of the following symptoms, then please keep them, and their siblings at home and book a test:

  • a high temperature - any new high temperature where your child feels hot to touch on their chest or back
  • a new continuous cough - coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
  • a loss of, or change in, sense of smell or taste - a noticeable loss of smell or taste or things smell and taste different to normal

If your child has a runny nose, is sneezing or generally feeling unwell, they do not need a test, as these are not normally symptoms of coronavirus.  As soon as your child is well enough, they must return to school. Further advice can be sought from your GP, NHS 111 online and telephone services or the NHS website.
